The Millionaire Morning Routine

How to make more money?  They say that the morning is the most important part of the day.  And rich people always get the most out of the early hours.  That’s why they are rich.

Tim Cook (Apple CEO), Jeff Jordan of Pinterest, Marissa Mayer of Yahoo, Richard Branson, Steve Jobs, and a lot more other successful people are early birds.

“How you wake up each day and your morning routine (or lack thereof) dramatically affects your levels of success in every single area of your life.

Focused, productive, successful mornings generate focused, productive, successful days – which inevitably create a successful life.

In the same way that unfocused, unproductive, and mediocre mornings generate unfocused, unproductive, and mediocre days, and ultimately a mediocre quality of life.

By simply changing the way you wake up in the morning, you can transform any area of your life, faster than you ever thought possible.”  – Hal Elrod

Chaotic morning, rushing to get things done always set the entire day of chaos too.  It messes up the rest of the day.

So if you plan to become rich, you may want to wake up earlier.

Millionaires owe most of their success to their morning routine and if you follow your own morning routine, this can positively increase your chances of success too.

Forbes gave us a list on how do successful people do their morning routine.  Here they are:

  1. They set up their alarm clock every day at the same time (Yes! Especially on weekends and days off)

Getting up the same time every day will stabilize your circadian rhythm (your body clock).  But overcoming the body in its natural tendency to turn the alarm off and pursue the warm bed is one of the biggest battle your willpower is going to face.

  1. Meditation – allows you to connect with yourself and kick start your day with a positive energy
  2. Morning Workouts.
  3. Sit down for breakfast with the family.
  4. They devote some time for self-learning.
  5. They say good morning to people on their way to work
  6. They start their working day by writing a To-Do list

You can set up your own morning routine too.

Let me share you mine. Since I consider myself  a mother and a wife,  before career woman, I have to wake up earlier than a typical Early bird.  Because once my kids and husband wake up, then I won’t be able to do this routine.

Here is my routine:

  1. I wake up at 4:00am.

That’s what I intend to do.  But, I tell you, the battle to stop the snoozing your alarm is real.

  1. I do my gratitude prayer, read my daily affirmations.
  • These sets me up into positive energy, abundance mindset and power.

  1. Meditation and Visualization
  • Visualization – is seeing the goal as already complete in your mind’s eye – is a core technique used by the world’s most successful people. Visualization is effective because it harnesses the power of our subconscious mind.

  1. Then, I work on a one category of my life I can improve that day.

  • The categories include: health and fitness, improving relationships (love, parenting, social, family), mental and emotional life, character, spiritual, financial/career and quality of life.

  1. I read my CODE OF HONOR.

  • These are sets of rules I set up for myself as a guide on how I should act everyday consciously, especially if my emotions are high and my intelligence is low.

  1. List my TO DO LIST for the day
  • I list all the things I need to do for the day.
  • The most important in my list is the ONE THING. This one thing is the most important task I need to accomplish for the day.  If I can’t accomplish all of the things I have in my TO DO LIST, at least this ONE THING should be done.

  1. I do my 1 hour of creative writing.

  • Mornings are the best time for my creative writing. I can write better, more fluidly and ideas come to me more easily in the mornings. I write to give value to people through my blog, newsletters, talks and social media posts.  The reason why you are reading my contents more regularly now, is because of this morning routine.

When I am able to really do the entire morning routine, then I feel good and I know, that I am one step closer to making my goals and dreams a reality.  Waking up so early, has given me 3-4 hours of head start before everyone else in the house wakes up.

In fact, when everyone else wakes up, I have already done a lot of things, which also means I have time for other more important people in my life.  My children, my family and my husband.

Now, I do hope I have already convince you to wake up earlier, have a morning routine and be intentional with your day.

If I still didn’t, let these successful morning birds convince you:

“Morning is an important time of day, because how you spend your morning can often tell you what kind of day you are going to have.”

Daniel Handler

For the past 33 years, I have looked in the mirror every morning and asked myself: ‘If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I am about to do today?’ And whenever the answer has been ‘No’ for too many days in a row, I know I need to change something.

Steve Jobs

“Every successful person has a morning routine.” – Evan Carmichael

Do you have a lot of goals and dreams you want to become a reality? Do you want them to come true?  Then wake up early.

Have yourself a successful morning, hence, a more successful life.

Early Bird by Choice,
